Priya Misra is a graduate of The State University of New York at Stony Brook, where she majored in Chemistry and minored in English. She is currently a fourth year medical student at the Stony Brook School of Medicine, and will begin her residency in Pediatrics in July 2016, hoping to specialize in Pediatric Cardiology. Through her research in Medical Humanities she has written extensively on her medical school experiences, providing current and future students with honest advice regarding the emotional and personal changes that are involved in Medicine. Her specific interests include Narrative Medicine, and Compassionate Care. In the future she hopes to help reform Medical Education to better incorporate the humanities and ethics of Medicine.
