Rachel graduated from Brown University with a degree in Human Biology – Brain & Behavior in 2013, having assisted with psychiatric research as a component of her thesis project. During her senior year, she completed a fellowship through the Women’s Policy Institute, which familiarized her with the legislative process. Following graduation, she worked for three separate NPR affiliates: WUWM in Milwaukee, WBUR in Boston, and RIPR in Rhode Island. Across these experiences, she was involved with audio editing, recruiting interview subjects, producing sound-rich segments, conducting my own interviews in-studio, field reporting, and creating web content to correspond with aired interviews. Her interest in bioethics is in mental health ethics and the implications of changing health policies.
